Carol Schram: Vancouver Canucks fun in the sun and is Michael Del Zotto a trade target? With the Vancouver Canucks enjoying some much-needed R&R, a new trade rumour sees the Chicago Blackhawks with potential interest in Michael Del Zotto, Elias Petterson close to advancing to the Champions Hockey League final and Adam Gaudette nominated for a shot at the Hobey Baker Award.

Don't worry about the Calder race. Boeser is doing just fine. A dandy pick. Barzal is good as well. Good to see two young players doing well.

Just watch out for those Nucks fans. They'll post on your board every time Barzal scores and that he deserves to win the Calder over Boeser.

Clearly Chicago has lost their damn minds thinking they can pawn off Seabrook and the worst contract in the NHL on Vancouver.

I dont even care if they attach their 1st round pick and a high end prospect.

Seriously though, do you guys get people coming in every time Barzal has a good game? Leafs boards were inundated with that last year.

Relax. Benning will do what's best for this team right now and in the future.

I'd take Seabrook before I'd resign Gud at the 5 per minimum he's gonna want

Where did you see that it would be Seabrook coming for MDZ?

Unless we are getting four 1st rounders with him then no thanks. Easily top 3 worst deals in the league and its not even close.

Id rather neither and pick up Cody Franson on waivers then be locked in to any deal for a defense as bad as either of them are.

If Chicago has Sikura signed - I wonder if MDZ would get it done? Otherwise it would have to be a 2nd, which they don't have.

No it wasn't MDZ
The proposal which Vancouver Supposedly denied in the summer was

To Chi
Tanev

To Van
Seabrook
Forsling

What is the rule here.... if he is picked up on re-entry waivers (Is that even still a thing?) how does that effect who pays his contact?

Bowman is a professional and been in the front office for years. He obviously put quite a bit of thought into that offer and thought it made at least a little bit of sense for the Canucks. He knows what he's doing.

I just meant that seabrook or gudbranson resigned are not worth anything and that it would be better to pick up a waiver wire guy on an expiring contract than either one of them.

Carey Price has a brutal deal, Lucic, Ladd but yes I tend to agree it is the worst.
